Tìpota Movie Company is an independent and dynamic production company based in Rome. Since it was established in 1998 by Dario De Luca Gabrielli, Tìpota has produced, co-produced and distributed feature films, documentaries, tv programs, short films, corporates for the national and international market.Since 2002 it has broadened its activity, becoming operative also in the world of advertising and corporate production.Since its very first production, the film “Tìpota” by Fabrizio Bentivoglio and Valeria Golino, the company has been interested in working with authors.It is focused mainly on real stories and social issues, wether it deals with feature films or documentaries.Apart from his commitment to the production and distribution of films, which granted it the 2000 “Nastro d’Argento” prize, Tìpota continues to supply the market with movies, short films and documentaries for the main broadcasters.
In 2009 Nello Correale became an associate, improving the creative side of the development of projects, in regard both to the writing and the making of films and factuals, due to his experience as an author of feature films, documentaries and tv programs.
Dario De Luca Gabrielli – Producer
He has worked in media for over 25 years, helping to develop quality cinema by distributing in Italy a host of “cult” film, fromKoyaanisqatsi and My Beautiful Laundrette to films made by great German directors and the best of African cinema.He was associate producer for “The Wild Blue Yonder”, 2005 and “Kalachakra”, 2003, by Werner Herzog. In addiction to work as a producer and distributor of short films, that granted him the Nastro d’Argento award in 2000, he continues to operate in the television market, supplying feature films, short films and documentaries to major broadcasters. He has been a member of the Anica board.
Nello Correale – Author/Director
Scriptwriter, film director and tv programs author. He directs and writes his first feature film “Oltremare” in 1997, participates at several scripts, among which “Journey Of Hope”, Academy Award 1991 (best foreign feature film); has written and directed several documentaries for national and international broadcasters, some of which are “Boys of Panaria”, nominated at “Davide di Donatello” Prize in 2005. “Wolf on The Drum” a feature-length documentary for Kazakh Film (the first Italy/Kazakhstan co-production).
